The app also includes a mobile site for any web-enabled device such as tablets, as well as a desktop version for personal computers and laptops.

You can pretty much do everything you need to track your claim

The initial functionality of the Worker Assist Mobile app allows users the following features:

• Check their WorkCover claim status

• Quick access to view their next compensation payment date

• Quickly claim expenses through a simple photo upload of the receipt

• Convenient access to information such as:

  1. Expense and remittance records
  2. Next appointment dates and appointment details
  3. Contact information to their WorkCover contact representative
  4. Notifications of messages from their claim contact
  5. View correspondence between you and WorkCover Queensland

• Quick login through a four digit security PIN.

It is continuously updated to become even better

The November 21, 2014 update was released and this enhanced version now allows users to ALSO:

• upload a medical certificate or other document by taking a photo

• complete a tax file number declaration.

WorkCover Queensland is definitely focusing on maintaining and improving their position as achievers of one of Australia’s best return to work rates, which stands at over 90% of injured workers returning to work within 12 months of the initial lodging of their claims.

    Barry’s legal career began in his native Scotland, where he qualified as a Solicitor in 1998. Upon qualifying, he worked for a boutique practice, and then a top-tier national firm, representing a number of different insurers across a variety of industries. With years of working for insurers under his belt, Barry is able to see matters through the eyes of his legal opponents. Forewarned is forearmed, as they say!

    He was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2007. In Australia, he commenced working for a large national firm, where he spent 15 years practicing in personal injury litigation. He was made a Partner of the firm in 2011 and spent 11 years as the firm’s dedicated in-house Special Counsel. Prue seeks to use her Masters qualification in writing and literature to tell each and every client’s individual story, ensuring they are treated fairly by insurers and that they obtain the compensation they deserve.
